What is Climate Change

Local campaigning
on political action for Climate Change

Climate Change is the term used for the fact that our climate is changing due to human causes. The main cause of climate change is the emission of carbon dioxide from the burning of fossil fuels but climate change is influenced by many other factors.

The consequences of climate change will be catastrophic already in this century unless something is done now. As a few examples can be mentioned the flooding of huge population centres due to rising sea levels and the increase in tropical storms due to higher sea surface temperatures.

Climate Change is a very active research field on how quick climate change will happen and how large rirse in average temperature we will see globally. The main conclusion that man made climate change will cause serious damage to the earth environment unless something radical is done soon is beyond scientific doubt.
