Corporate accountability

Reading Friends of the Earth spent a rather chilly morning in Reading town centre in the first weekend of March, campaigning on the issue of corporate accountability; - in particular, focusing on the problem of palm oil and rainforest destruction. They were joined by a "forest friend", and were asking members of the public to sign postcards to their MP. This latest action is part of an ongoing campaign to persuade MPs to change the wording of the forthcoming Company Law Reform Bill, to ensure that UK companies act responsibly wherever they operate in the world.
